The Earth System that keeps us alive – made up of 9 Planetary Boundaries – is under threat.

Humanity’s advancements have been built off the back of the natural world leading us to the Anthropocene era, where human dominance over nature is destabilizing and destroying the interconnected planetary systems and threatening life on Earth. The vision for the Planetary Guardians is a bright future for humanity on Earth, where people and the planet thrive together and we are on a mission to shine a spotlight on a pathway to stay within the Planetary Boundaries.

We will do this in four ways:

1) lift the Planetary Boundaries science, so we can properly diagnose the health of the planet;

2) give the planet a voice at the tables that matter (like the UN) by assembling a group of ‘Guardians’ to advocate on the planet’s behalf;

3) helping shift capital flows to where there is the highest planetary need and

4) spark a global movement for a healthy partnership with the Earth
