Waves Rush In was first shared with the world by Sam Branson in 2021, with the release of his debut EP Season’s Change. In June 2023, Sam released his first full-length album, Under The Static, to glowing reviews, including praise from Ed Sheeran and public support from Ryan Reynolds. The album was featured in The Times, Yahoo, and included a live interview on ITV’s Lorraine.

The album’s success led to a sold-out headline show at The Troubadour in London and marked Sam’s first national radio support from the BBC. The single The Man That I Am was playlisted on 39 BBC stations across the UK for four weeks, while his hometown stations at BBC Introducing Oxfordshire & Berkshire invited him in for a live performance to celebrate the release of lead single 7 Billion. The campaign also earned “Track of the Week” twice at JackFM, over 124 plays on Amazing Radio, and A-list playlist adds on BFBS and SFM.

Following two well-received EPs and growing industry attention—including a feature in Wonderland Magazine, a live A64 session with SBTV, and a performance on the main stage at Soho House Festival—Sam released Equilibrium, the second Waves Rush In album, on 4th April 2025.

Equilibrium is a concept album of 12 short, emotive songs inspired by the breakout success of Under The Static, the title track from Sam’s debut, which became the project’s most-streamed song with over 2 million plays. The album invites listeners into a reflective and heartfelt journey, with lyrics drawn from Sam’s own life experiences and the deep inspiration he finds in Mother Nature and human connection—two themes that consistently shape both his music and worldview.
